In 2007 the Evadale Catfish Festival added a new outreach to the Evadale community as it established the Evadale Catfish Festival King & Queen Scholarship fund. Each year the Catfish Festival awards from one to three worthy high school graduates from Evadale High School a $1000 scholarship that is paid out $500 per semester during the students first year of college or vocational training.

The funds raised for the King & Queen Scholarship Fund are over and above the regular sponsorship as there are a number of events that the money goes directly to the scholarship fund and are not a part of the general operating funds of the Evadale Catfish Festival.

Please consider a gift to the Evadale Catfish Festival King & Queen Scholarship Fund even if you choose not able to be a Catfish Festival sponsor. These scholarships will help those awarded a chance to get a great start on their first year of college or vocational training.

       Gifts to the King & Queen Scholarship fund are up to the individual or business making the gift and are not
    connected with Catfish Festival Sponsorship. Businesses can also donate items for the live auction that will be
